Politicians in both political parties have been stating unequivocally for the last 20 years that Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. Hillary Clinton said in 2008 that:
“I want the Iranians to know that, if I am president, we will attack Iran. Because whatever stage of development they might be in their nuclear weapons development program in the next ten years during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack against Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.”
