With the help of my Dad, a couple of brothers, a tractor and trailer, we managed to transport the dome out onto a beautiful grassy field surrounded by trees.

And much like the photo taken back at the farmhouse, I was lucky enough to catch another impressive image of sunlight reflecting off of one of the clear plastic panels.

I wasn't able to spend a lot of time there during the summer, because of my travels around the state with my band, but I enjoyed several nights under the stars inside my dome home!

Once winter arrived, I grabbed a couple of snowshoes and walked out into the woods to see how my geodesic dome was holding up under the onslaught of a Minnesota winter, cold temps and heavy snow. True to the efficient design and structure of the dome, it survived the winter intact and made for an interesting hiking destination.
