CHAPTER THREE - "Travel Sickness On the Horizon"

I secured the boat at the dock and headed towards the 4 wheel drive buggy waiting nearby. The WWSN Delta base was still vacant and under construction, but HQ surveillance had given us vector coordinates that were within a two mile radius of this location.

From the top of the watchtower adjacent to the WWSN base, I should be able to spot any MLM activity in this quadrant and plan for an appropriate response. I was locked and loaded - and ready for anything!

As I approached the tower, there was no evidence of any MLM recruitment, three-way calls, email spam, front-loading, or multiple business centers. Nothing but a small campfire...

Parking the jeep near the WWSN Delta HQ, I hurried to the base of the lookout and braced myself for the 220 foot climb to the the top. From that vantage point, I should be able assess the danger and plan the WWSN offensive.

This was our first real test of the new offshore WWSN scambusting facilities. We've had plenty of experience with major Internet MLM pyramid schemes before - SkyBiz.com, Janglefish, OneSource, BigSmart.com, Going Platinum, Quorum Global and a dozen more all learned the folly of fighting with the truth. But now we had the added capability of taking pre-emptive action - we were going to meet these scammers face to face.

Once I made it to the top, I had a magnificent panoramic view of the islands that belied the danger and challenges that awaited me on the ground. In my left I could see the V.A.S. watchtower and the smoldering ruins of the BigSmart.com encampment.

As I turned my gaze to the right, I found what we had been looking for - the mountaintop base of operations and headquarters for Adam Gilmer and the Travelogia.com recruitment commission scheme.

True to style, Gilmer had erected a 200 foot tall display of his most evil visage at the top.

It was a hideous site to behold, but it made for a damn good target! I hurried down from the lookout and made my way across the beach to the water, moving quickly to avoid detection. I wanted this visit to be a surprise...
