So it all came down to this- A few dedicated Internet freedom fighters versus a new group of MLM con artists, scammers, crooks, liars and thieves. They had thousands of lemming-like followers, a dozen ambulance chasing attorneys, millions of dollars in the bank, and a website with 'sizzle'. All we had was the Internet and the First Amendment. They didn't stand a chance... As I carefully made my way up the hill, I couldn't help but wonder just what it is that motivates these people. Do they have any morals or ethics at all? Why do they do it? Greed, of course. These people are all greedy. But it's more than that. These con artists appeal to your highest goals and ideals - they use your religion, your concern for your children, or the environment. It takes a special depth of evil to time and again ply for and earn people's trust and respect, only to take their money and betray them at their most vulnerable moment. This is the scammer's special talent. It's this betrayal of trust that motivates me. As I approach the top of the mountain, several Travelogia goons spot me and sound the alarm. It's payback time...
