CHAPTER FOUR - "Expedition to the Top of Mt. Gilmer"
I had been spotted, and the Travelogia minions began charging down the hill like new recruits to a Jim Fobair or Phil Piccolo scam in prelaunch. Luckily for me, Gilmer didn't allow his employees to carry weapons, so picking them off one by one as they headed towards me would be a lot like shooting fish in a barrel.
Most of them ran right by me and headed for the shore. I saw a lot of familiar faces and recognized many of the fleeing promoters from Travelogia email newsletters we had captured.
Jeff Storrs was one of the first out the door and his buddy Ruth Mayne was right behind him. I saw Keith Laggos sneaking out the back along with the Wellman & Warren gang. I let them go - they were harmless.
The strangest thing was the wild pigs that followed them out of the building. Every MLM collapse seemed to leave behind a few pigs that hung around looking for scraps, spare change, leads lists, and address books...
Within a week or two, you could expect to find all of this company information available for sale to the highest bidder.
It wasn't long before most of the MLM riff raff had scurried out of their mountain top headquarters and ran for cover. That left behind just a few of the hardcore promoters, maybe a couple of SkyBiz con men, an MLM founder or two and, if we got really lucky - Adam J. Gilmer, Esq. - himself!. As I walked around to the front of their base, I could see a couple of uniformed men standing near the entryway, armed with what appeared to be Orange County legal documents. More ex parte applications? A subpoena? I wasn't taking any chances...
I put away my shotgun and loaded up my rocket launcher with a Minnesota Dakota County court judgment that headed straight for their front office and blew them all out of the water.
Game over. Point, set, and match. Hasta la vista, baby!
Travelogia.com had retained lawyers in two states, filed numerous frivolous complaints, hired service processors, paid off Keith Laggos, and threatened WWSN website hosting companies in Australia, India, Great Britain, and Hawaii, all to no avail.
It all ends right here - right now!
